ever felt completely disappointed, yet there's no real concrete reason you should be feeling that way? i've come to realise that it's when i expect too much that i feel the most moody, the most discontent. and then when i do not expect at all, things happen as a pleasing surprise. so to heck with expectations. who needs them? after all, we're better off not expecting, and hence not being disappointed. over and over again. but once again, easier said than done. i don't think i can help expecting things to happen, or for people to come through for me. it's human nature to get built up and then come crashing down when things don't go their way. so, sorry for this sombre post, but i felt like i needed to put my thoughts to paper. or rather web page.
to put at least a little cheer into this post, yeap's bday party is on saturday. yay. nice food and footie after. but like i said, no use expecting a good time. i may not get it. oh, and i cooked fried rice on sunday. pics will come up latr.
